Mr. Nigro studies organ with Dr. Jack Hennigan of Pelham, New York; he holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Iona College in New Rochelle and teaches piano and organ to private students in Westchester and Fairfield counties. He is currently the Director of Music Ministries at the Catholic Church of Saint Augustine in New City, New York. |

Mr. Nigro has performed organ recitals in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2006. In June 2003 he conducted a combined Archdiocesan Choir of one hundred twenty five voices for the NY Archdiocesan Catechetical Office’s Centennial Anniversary Liturgy. |

He has conducted three choir tours to Italy in 1996, 1998, and 2001. His fourth choir tour was to Austria and Germany in 2003. During his career he has produced seven recordings of sacred music. In 1997 Cardinal Egan appointed Mr. Nigro Director of Music for the funeral services of former Bishop of Bridgeport Walter Curtis. |

Mr. Joseph Nigro has been an organist and choir director since 1975. He began his career as parish music director for Saint Michael the Archangel Parish in the Bronx at the age of thirteen. |
