Charles Martin Casál is a multi-genre composer, versatile musician, and creative entrepreneur.
Charles Martin Casal's music has been performed in four countries and across three continents. His NYC debut as a composer was at DiMenna Center with Exponential Ensemble. Other recent commissions include the NYC Composers Collective, Fordham University Arts & Sciences Festival, and the TreasureHouse Chorale.
Martin enjoys conducting, performing, and teaching music. He has conducted orchestral and choral ensembles and currently sings with the Cantori and Cecilia choruses, directed by Mark Shapiro. He serves as the Teaching Artist for Music at New Design Middle School in Harlem, in addition to maintaining a small private studio.
Born in 1992, Charles is an alumnus of Fordham University and currently studies at the Juilliard School's Evening Division. His teachers have included Daniel Ott, Wayne Oquin, Thierry Lancino, and Narcís Bonet.
